Ope Adedeji

 

Ope Adedeji is an editor and writer with almost a decade of experience in media, tech and publishing. She is a recipient of the 2022 Miles Morland Scholarship and the 2021 University of East Anglia Booker Prize Scholarship for her MA in Creative Writing. She has won and been nominated for several literary awards for her writing, including the Brittle Paper Prize for Fiction in 2020. Her work has appeared in McSweeney’s Quarterly, Inque Magazine and The Republic.

She’s Deputy Editor at Law Business Research, where she helps in-house counsel and compliance officers globally understand law and policy. From 2022 till 2024, she was the Editorial Director at Big Cabal Media, where she designed the vision, strategy and agenda of the organisation’s publications: Zikoko and TechCabal. Previously, she was the Managing Editor at Paystack, where she built the foundations of the content marketing team, and produced compelling blog content that served startup operators and developers. She has worked as Managing Editor at the famous book publisher, Ouida Books and was one of the architects of the rebirth of the digital culture publication, Zikoko, as Managing Editor.
